School Backpack Christmas Campaign 2022
7 October in Insights by joanna
For some children in the village, receiving a school backpack is the only new thing they have ever had, and it makes such a difference in their lives.
You can make a difference in a child’s life by donating a school backpack filled with accessories. We aim to collect 188 school backpacks by Christmas. The school we support educates 188 children between 6 and 12.
In September, we collected 22 backpacks! 143 more school backpacks are required.
You can purchase a backpack locally and fill it with school items as listed below:
Toothbrush, toothpaste, ruler, eraser, pencil case, lead pencils, highlighter, glue stick, lunch box, water bottle (not a plastic one), notepad and anything else you would like to include that feels appropriate. You can also donate your phone or laptop.
Please do not donate empty school backpacks and please consider the sustainability of each. It should be a water-proof quality school backpack that will last. You can drop off your backpacks during your family tour directly to the child at our local school. As a community, we can make it happen!
